UTA golf makes schedule adjustment

With the discontinuation of the Jim West Intercollegiate, the UTA men's golf program has made a change to its schedule.  The Mavericks will participate in the prestigious 15th annual Boilermaker Invitational April 14-15 at Kampen Course in West Lafayette, Ind.

Hosted by Purdue University, last year's tournament featured nine of the top 100 teams in the country.  11th ranked Kent State claimed the team title last year by six strokes over host Purdue and nine ahead of third place Northwestern.  The University of Illinois has won a tournament record four team titles since the event started in 2004.

The Boilermaker Invitational will serve as the final regular season event for UTA before the team competes at the annual Sun Belt Championships in Florida.

The Kampen Course, a Pete Dye design, is considered one of the top collegiate courses in the country.  It has played host to a number of prestigious events, including the 2003 NCAA Women's Championship and the 2008 NCAA Men's Championship.
