With its sparkling 6-1 start to the season, the UTA men's basketball program remains right at the top of the list of the most successful Division I programs in the state of Texas.
UTA has put together an impressive 57-21 record over the last three seasons, the second-highest win total (57) and winning percentage (.731) among Division I programs in the state.
The Mavericks are one of three among the 23 Division I programs in Texas to have won at least 24 games in each of the last two seasons and UTA's six wins so far this year is the second-highest total in the state.
SMU leads the state in total wins and winning percentage during the last three season with UTA close behind. Baylor is in third with Stephen F. Austin and Houston rounding out the top five.
