Arlington, Tex. - College Park Center Tour Photo Gallery A number of UTA athletics staff got their first look inside the the university's new College Park Center Thursday.

Headed by director of athletics Pete Carlon and faculty rep Dr. Barry McKeown, the group was able to actually set foot in the new arena which is scheduled for completion in late 2011.

"The building is about 25% done at this stage," Bill Amendola, the senior project manager from the UT System's Office of Facilities Planning & Construction, said. "But at this stage you can get a good idea at how things will look when it is completed."

The group was able to tour the practice courts, coaches offices, weight room, locker rooms and the training room.

Amendola said there are 150-180 workers on site at any one time depending on what they are working on that particular day.

"We are pleased at the way the building is coming together," he said. "I think everyone will be quite pleased when it is done."
