ARLINGTON, Tex. - The UT Arlington Department of Athletics is currently accepting reservations to join us June 10 when we hit the links to raise scholarship funds for our talented student-athletes.
The 16th annual Maverick Club Classic will take place at Tangle Ridge Golf Club in Grand Prairie. UT Arlington players and coaches will be on hand to take their shot at mastering the course. The event is for a good cause, with proceeds from the event benefitting the Maverick Education and Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to UT Arlington student-athletes.
The Maverick Club Classic will open registration at 6:45 a.m. and will include a continental breakfast. The shotgun-style tournament will begin at 8 a.m. and there will be lunch served at 1 p.m. with raffles, drawings and award presentation.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams. There will also be a silent auction, contests and a raffle. One potential prize includes a Harley Davidson for a specific hole-in-one par 3 to be named later.
There will be different competitions, including longest drive, challenge hole competition, closest to the pin and a putting competition.
Maverick Club members and alumni may enter a four-player team for $500 per team. Included in the package are tournament gifts, breakfast and lunch, Pepsi products throughout the tournament and two drink coupons per player.
Corporate teams may also enter four-player teams for $650 per team. This package includes tournament gifts, signage at a hole, PA recognition at the awards presentation, breakfast and lunch, Pepsi products throughout the tournament and two drink coupons per player.
