DALLAS, Texas - The Maverick men's and women's basketball as well as volleyball teams participated in the 2013 Get Kidz Fit Fest. The sixth annual Get Kidz Fit event took place at Dallas Market Hall and drew an estimated 5,000 attendees from across the metroplex.
"Get Kidz Fit presents healthy information in a fun way. The sports, activities and nutrition informaiton provide great experience for kids and families in the Greater Dallas area," Myron Watkins said, Get Kidz Fit 2013 chair and vice president of Customer Experience for Greyhound Lines, Inc.
UT Arlington men's and women's basketball along with volleyball, participated in various sports and acitives at the event. It is the hope of the Get Kidz Fit program to promote healthy lifestyles to children and their families by inviting college athletes, like the Mavericks, to their events.
