ARLINGTON, Texas - The UT Arlington athletics department will be gathering canned foods and non-perishable items to assist Mission Arlington. Canned foods are being accepted until Nov. 23 at 5 p.m., with items being dropped off at the UT Arlington athletic department Gilstrap Building in Room 110. Canned foods can be donated in the name of a UTA athletic team.
Canned food items will also be accepted at three UT Arlington men's and women's basketball games that are designated canned food nights. If a fan brings in four (4) canned foods they will receive one free ticket to the game.
The designated games are:
November 17 - Women's Basketball (7 p.m.)
November 18 - Men's Basketball (7 p.m.)
November 21 - Men's Basketball (7 p.m.)
To obtain a ticket, fans must first go to the ticket booth and then coming into the game and drop the canned foods off at the table labeled for Canned Food Drive.
UT Arlington athletics comes together each year to help Mission Arlington help others in the community.
