Alan Bishop joined the UT Arlington Strength and Conditioning staff in June of 2012. He is responsible for overseeing the athletic development of the Men's and Women's Basketball teams, as well as the Men's and Women's Tennis teams.
Prior to UTA, Bishop served as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Southern Utah University.
Bishop earned his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from Utah State University, and earned a Masters of Science in Sports Conditioning and Performance from Southern Utah University. He holds certifications through the CSCCA (SCCC), NSCA (CSCS) and USAW (USAWL1).
Previous to his coaching experience, Bishop earned four varsity letters and earned Academic All-Conference honors four times as a member of the Utah State University football team. Bishop is married to the former Jessica Crosbie, and have a daughter, Jayda, and a son, AJ.
