JASON CHAPUT
Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Events Management
Jason Chaput is in his fifth year at UTA, his third as Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Events Management. Chaput spent two years at UTA as the director of events and operations. He earned his bachelor's degree from Minnesota State University in 2002, and then Chaput graduated with a master's degree from Kansas in 2003.

Chaput spent over a year working as the gate operations manager at the Kansas Speedway in Kansas City. His duties included supervision and training of over 500 event personnel. During his tenure Chaput worked thoroughly with three additional International Speedway Corporation facilities, including Daytona, Talladega and Phoenix.

Prior to his year and a half with the Kansas Speedway he worked as the events and facilities manager with the Kansas University Athletic Corporation. His day-to-day operations included event set-up, planning and coordination of facilities and management for all 16 home varsity sports. His experiences also dealt with assisting departmental staffs such as media relations, ticket office and marketing with game management and facilities issues.
