GREGG ELKIN
Associate Athletic Director for Communications/Marketing/Promotions
Gregg Elkin enters his third year as the Associate Athletic Director for Communications and Media Relations at UT Arlington in 2010-2011. Elkin is the primary media relations contact for the Mavericks men's basketball and men's golf programs.

Elkin oversees all of the athletic department's external and internal communication efforts as they relate to the areas of athletic accomplishments plus the business, marketing and community initiatives of the department.

A veteran of more than 25 years in the sports public relations field, Elkin returns to the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex following a season of serving as the vice president of communications for Major League Soccer's Chicago Fire.

Before joining the Fire, Elkin spent four years as the Senior Director of Communications for Major League Baseball's Texas Rangers. He has also worked with the NBA's Dallas Mavericks and at the collegiate level for Indiana University, the University of Wisconsin and University of Nevada-Las Vegas.

He has served on many committees on the league level in professional sports and has received numerous awards for publications and work during his days at the collegiate level.

A 1988 graduate of Arizona State, Elkin and the former Jessica Caldwell were married in June of 2011. The couple are parents of twins Jaret and Anna (13).
