SCOTT LACEFIELD
He came to UT Arlington from Seward County Community College, where he served four years as the sports information director covering seven nationally-ranked programs, including baseball, softball, volleyball, men's and women's basketball and men's and women's tennis. While at Seward County, Lacefield was responsible for the athletic department's marketing and promotions, annual fundraising initiatives, Saints Booster Club memberships, athletic department website, photography, game-night basketball posters, game notes and design and production of six-annual media guides. Originally from Greeley, Colo., Lacefield graduated from Seward County C.C. with an associate's degree before completing his bachelor's degree in Mass Communications/Public Relations from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. He earned his master's degree in Sports Administration from East Central University before becoming the SID at Seward County. Lacefield has spent the past two years working for Major League Baseball as a datacaster at Texas Rangers home games for Major League Baseball Advanced Media, providing live stats through the MLB Gameday application. In addition, Lacefield spent two years (2004-2006) as an assistant baseball coach at Seward County Community College. Lacefield is a current member of CoSIDA and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
