In his 17th season as a UT Arlington employee, Mike Garcia is the Events and Operations Coordinator for Maverick athletics.
He began as an event worker at Maverick Stadium and spent two years as a student assistant with the men and women's track and field programs. Garcia was hired full-time as the Events Manager at Maverick Stadium and moved into his current role in Athletics in 2011.
In his role as the Events and Operations Coordinator, Garcia serves as the primary contact and game manager for all home volleyball, men's and women's basketball and softball games. He provides support services for athletic special events and assists with the coordination of facility improvements and day to day operations of athletics facilities.
