Lorraine Palmer began working in the UT Arlington Athletics Department in 1991. In 1996 she became the senior administrative assistant for the athletics administration.
She served as the assistant for the Maverick Clubfor five years and also worked with the Sports Information Office for several years.
Palmer received the University's Outstanding Employee Award for 2006-2007 and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics Faculty/Staff Loyalty Award in 2007.
Originally from Burns, Ore., Palmer attended Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Ore. She lived in San Diego, Calif., for 17 years before moving to Texas with her husband, Ken, and their daughters, Stacey and Kelly.
