Roy Rudewick, a 16-year veteran at Arlington Bowie High School, enters his fourth year at UT Arlington and his second as Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine in 2010-11.

Rudewick is the primary trainer for men's basketball, but oversees the entire department and its student-athletes.

Rudewick is a 1989 graduate of UT Arlington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in physical education. A certified and licensed athletic trainer, Rudewick received his master's of education degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1990.

Prior to Arlington Bowie, he was the head athletic trainer at Carrollton R.L. Turner High School from 1990-91.

He also served a trainer at the 1994 World Cup Soccer Tournament in Dallas. He served as an intern athletic trainer with the Houston Oilers Football Club from 1989-90.

Rudewick served as the president of the North Texas Athletic Trainer Society from 2002-04 and has been a clinical instructor of the National Athletic Trainers' Association B.O.C. He has served as a master assessor for the University Interscholastic League's (UIL) Wrestling Weight Certification Program and was the Dallas-Fort Worth Regional Coordinator. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, Southwest Athletic Trainers' Association, Texas State Athletic Trainers' Association, North Texas Athletic Trainer Society and the Texas Society of Sports Medicine.
