Taylor Wright is entering her second year as a graduate assistant with the UT Arlington Athletic Department.
Wright has been in the position since July, 2012 and her duties include compiling record book information, preparing game day materials, stating events, and writing sports features for the website as well as posting releases and recaps for all of the Maverick sports teams.
She has experience in the sports information field as she was a student assistant to the Sports Information Director at her alma mater, Southwestern University. She also completed a full-time summer internship with the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate for the Texas Rangers, in 2011 as a promotions intern.
Wright graduated from Southwestern University in 2012 with a B.A. in Communications and a minor in Economics. The Garland, Texas native was a four-year letterwinner for the Pirates volleyball team where her graduating class compiled a 133-20 overall record in four seasons. Southwestern volleyball earned Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference championship accolades in 2009 and qualified for the NCAA tournament every year of Wright's collegiate career.
She is currently pursuing a Master's in Communications from UT Arlington and will graduate in the summer of 2014.
