Duong, Dreher, Chatila, Hamilton Join Full-Time Staff
Wafaa Chatila joined the UTA sports medicine staff as an assistant athletic trainer in August, 2017 after serving the previous year as an athletic trainer at Texas Sports Rehab. She received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Texas Christian University in 2014 before earning a Master of Art in Sports and Fitness Administration from the University of Houston in 2016.
While working toward her master's degree at UH, Chatila served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Cougar women's soccer and women's tennis programs and assisted with a number of other sport programs and working youth sport camps. As a student trainer at TCU, she gained experience with several sport programs and worked a number of events including a National Football League referee camp, Special Olympics and a NFL regional combine.
She is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and the Southwest Athletic Trainers' Association.
