Relay teams busy on Friday in Austin
Helped the 4x400 relay team to a school-record effort (3:44.65) at the WAC Indoor Championships.
Placed 15th at the league meet in the 400m (58.24).
Had season-best times of 9.14 in the 60m hurdles and 58.11 in the 400 meters.
Was the runner up in the 400-meter hurdles at the WAC Outdoor Championships.
Had a time of 1:00.59 in the finals of the league meet to earn first-team All-WAC honors.
Posted a season-best clocking of 1:00.04, the fourth-fastest time in school history, in the prelims of the event.
Had identical times of 1:01.57 at the prestigious Texas Relays (23rd) and Mt. SAC Relays (28th).
PRIOR TO UT ARLINGTON
Competed for one season at Stephen F. Austin.
Placed fourth in the 400m hurdles at the 2012 Southland Conference Outdoor Championships.
Was the 2011 Class 5A state champion in the 300m hurdles.
Named to the all-state squad twice (2009, 2011).
Placed third in the 400m hurdles at both the 2009 and 2010 USATF Junior Olympics.
Had a personal-best time of 41.8 in the 300 hurdles.
Earned four varsity letters in track.
Also played volleyball at Timberview High School.
Ran for the Dallas Gold Track Club.

Is the daughter of Angie and Ricky Burris.
Is a nursing major.
Was a member of the National Honor Society as a prep, graduating 21st in a class of 587.
