Scholar Athletes recognized at Academic Excellence Luncheon

Sixty-eight student-athletes were named Super Scholar or Scholar Athletes of the Year.

WAC announces All-Academic honors for winter sports

Sixteen student-athletes from UT Arlington earned WAC All-Academic honors.


T&F: UTA wins 10 events at Bobby Lane Invitational

UT Arlington women and men each claim five events.

Indoor Highlights:
• Placed fifth in the triple jump at the WAC Indoor Championships with a mark of 39-00.25 (11.89m).
• Also competed in the pentathlon at the league meet, placing 16th.
• Won the triple jump at the Bill Bergan Invitational (38-09.00).
• Scored 3,005 points in a 13th-place finish in the pentathlon at Varsity Apartments Invitational.

• Placed fourth in the triple jump at the Texas 10-Team Invitational with a season-best mark of 11.89 meters.
• Had a season-best mark of 5.24m in the long jump at the Varsity Apartments Invitational.
• Competed in the Southland Conference Championships in both the long jump and triple jump.

Outdoor Highlights:
• Placed 11th in the heptathlon at the WAC Championships with a personal-best total of 4,374 points.
• Was the winner in the league meet's heptathlon 200m with a time of 24.47.
• Took third in the triple jump (39-00.50) at the Bobby Lane Invitational.
• Had a season-best triple jump mark of 39-08.75 at the TCU Invitational.

• Established a season-best mark with a leap of 11.81 meters in the triple jump at the TCU Invitational.
• Had her best long jump effort of the season at UTA's Bobby Lane Invitational, posting a 5.32-meter jump to place sixth.

• Was a two-time District 24-5A triple jump champion and a three-time 5A regional qualifier in both the triple jump and long jump.
• Also was a regional qualifier in the 4x200 relay (three times), 4x400 relay (three times), 4x100 relay (twice) and the 200 meters (once).
• Was part of the district champion 4x200 relay squad her junior year.
• Jumped 39-02 in the triple jump as a senior to break the school record and rank 18th in the state of Texas.
• Holds the school record for points scored during a varsity track and field career (375 points).
• Named "Best All-Around Athlete" at Clear Lake High School three years in a row.
• Ranked as a National Elite 100 in the nation by DyeStat.

• Father played football at East Central University in Ada, Okla.
