AT UT ARLINGTON Cross Country Highlights: 2012
• Participated in five meets on the year, including the WAC Championships.
• Finished 29th at the conference meet with a time of 18:42.07.
• Earned a top-10 finish at the Louisiana Tech Mook 4 (8th, 13:28).
• Crossed the line in 19th place in the 2-mile UTA Season Opener (11:56.3).
2011
• Did not compete in any events for the Mavericks.
Indoor Highlights: 2013
• Placed fifth in the finals of the 800m at the WAC Championships (2:13.35).
• Registered the third-fastest 800m time in school history in the prelims at the league meet (2:09.93).
• Won the 800m at the J.D. Martin Invitational with a clocking of 2:15.58.
• Was runner up at the Texas A&M Invitational (2:18.03) and the third-place finisher at the Bill Bergan Invitational (2:11.35).
2012
• Competed in four meets and a total of nine events on the year.
• Was the runner up in the 800 meters at the Southland Conference Championships, posting a time of 2:15.01.
• Ran a season-best 800m time of 2:13.30 in the prelims of the SLC meet.
• Helped the distance medley relay squad to a third-place finish and the 4x440 yard relay team to fourth place at the SLC Championships.
Outdoor Highlights: 2012
• Earned a spot at the NCAA West Preliminaries in the 800 meters, where her time of 2:09.18 placed 30th.
• Ran a career-best 2:08.42 in the finals of the 800m at the Southland Conference Championships to finish as league runner up.
• Was a member of the 4x400 relay team at the SLC meet that finished sixth.
• Competed in four events at the Texas Relays.
• Saw action in 10 meets on the year.
HIGH SCHOOL
• Placed ninth nationally at the USATF Junior Olympics.
• Was a two-time district champion in the 400 meters (2010, 2011).
• Also claimed the district title in the 800 meters in 2010.
• Named KMBT-12 Athlete of the Week.
• Had top times of 2:16 in the 800 and 56.6 in the 400.
PERSONAL
• Is the daughter of Tasha and Reggie Wright.
• Has one younger sister, Victoria.
• Is a kinesiology major.
• Wants to become a physician's assistant.
• Was an honor graduate and earned her high school's distinguished athlete award.
