ARLINGTON, Texas - The UT Arlington men's indoor track and field team remained ranked among the nation's top 25 for the third consecutive week, while the women moved up five spots to 12th in the South Central Regional rankings, according to this week's USTFCCCA polls.
Among the nation's top 25, only No. 25 UTA and No. 24 Northern Arizona do not field Division I football teams. The men are listed ninth regionally and sixth among teams from the state of Texas.
In the men's regional individual rankings, Bozidar Antunovic holds the top spot in the shot put. In addition, Clayton Vaughn (60m) and Romain Martin (heptathlon) are second in their respective events.
UTA will not compete this weekend. Both squads will return to action on Feb. 16 at the Oklahoma Invitational. The meet will serve as the final tune-up for the Mavs prior to the Western Athletic Conference Championships in Albuquerque, N.M. from Feb. 21-23.
