Texas Trust Scholar-Athlete of the Week

ARLINGTON, Texas - Each week, the UTA Athletic Department spotlights a Texas Trust Scholar-Athlete of the Week to showcase the excellence in academic achievement of its student-athletes. Today, learn all about UTA junior Anamarija Petters.

Petters, a native of Zagreb, Croatia, is a business major who competes on the women's cross country and track and field teams. As a freshman, she burst on the scene by finishing as the runner up in the 800 meters during the 2016 SBC Indoor Championships and competing on the league champion distance medley relay squad. She also scored points at the conference outdoor meet in 2016, finishing seventh in the 800m. Last year, she competed on the third-place 4x400m relay team during the indoor league championships.
