ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Former UT Arlington track standout Cordero Gray finished fourth in the 60 meters Sunday at the USA Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Albuquerque Convention Center. The championship serves as the final indoor meet in the USATF Championship Series.
Gray posted a 60m time of 6.62 in the finals, which was just .01 off his personal record. He qualified for the final with a time of 6.63, which tied for the second fastest clocking of the preliminary heats.
Gray, who finished his UTA career in 2011, was an All-American and won five individual Southland Conference championships. In indoor track, he owns the second-fastest 60m time (6.67) and third-fastest 200m time (21.03) in school history. He owns the UTA outdoor record in the 100 meters (10.12).
