ARLINGTON, Texas -- The UT Arlington men's and women's track and field teams will be well represented this week at the 86th running of the prestigious Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.
"This is always a tremendous experience for our athletes," head coach John Sauerhagesaid. "It is obviously a top-notch field, and the meet allows us a great chance to see how we stack up against the best."
One of UTA's top contenders for a high finish at the Texas Relays is All-American Romain Martinin the decathlon. Last year, Martin was the runner up in the event, scoring a school-record 7,977 points.
Staying on the men's side, the distance medley relay team of Ryan Tilotta, Sheldon Moss, Philip Critelli and Emil Blomberglooks poised for a strong run. Blomberg also figures to fare well in the 3000m steeplechase.
