ARLINGTON, Texas – The UT Arlington men’s and women’s track and field teams will continue their outdoor campaigns Saturday at the Crimson Tide Invite in Tuscaloosa, Ala. It begins a busy April for the Mavericks, who are slated for action in seven different meets during the month.

Coach John Sauerhage is expected to have a full complement of athletes this week after only select individuals competed last week at the Texas Relays and Bobcat Invitational.

UTA currently has six athletes, three women and three men, who lead the Sun Belt Conference in their respective events.

In women’s field events, newcomer Noemie Forget owns the best mark in the pole vault (12-04), while Morgan Domingue sits atop the long jump leaderboard with a mark of 19-07.50.

On the track, freshman Tamerah Gorham has the Sun Belt’s top time in the 800 meters (2:10.81). The women’s 4x400 relay team also boasts the best mark in the conference (3:43.04).

For the men, junior Ryan Tilotta, the SBC’s reigning track athlete of the week, has the best clocking in the 5000m (14:28.05).

In the field, Roland Sales is tied for the best mark in the high jump (6-10.75), while Brandon Waller is the leader in the long jump (24-11.25)

In addition to UT Arlington, the impressive field at the Crimson Tide Invite also includes Alabama, Florida State, Louisville, Missouri, Oklahoma and Penn State.

UTA’s participation in the one-day meet will begin at 2 p.m. (CT) with the discus. The final event, the 4x400 relay, should conclude approximately 9:30 p.m. Live scoring of the meet will be available at RollTide.com.
