XC: Women's youth, men's depth define cross country teams

Mavericks distance crews ready for Western Athletic Conference

Women's tennis had all seven athletes on the honor roll

Cross Country Highlights:
• Competed in three events for the Mavericks, including the league meet.
• Had a season-best 5k time of 20:07.0 at the UTA Season Opener.
• Finished 60th at the Sun Belt Conference Championships with a time of 21:27.0.

• Did not compete in cross country.

• Ran in three of the Mavs' six meets.
• Came in 28th at the UTA Season Opener with a time of 12:32.
• Finished 35th (15:57) at the Baylor Invitational.

Indoor Highlights:
• Did not participate in any meets.

• Ran in three meets during 2013, competing in the 800 meters.
• Placed 14th in the 800m at the Western Athletic Conference Championships with a season-best time of 2:20.02.

• Competed in four meets for the Mavericks, competing in the 800 meters and the 4x400 relay.
• Scored a point in the 800 meters at the SLC Indoor Championships, finishing eighth with a time of 2:17.59.
• Posted her best 800m time of the year (2:15.58) in a runner-up finish at the Varsity Apartments Invitational.

Outdoor Highlights:
• Saw action in one meet during the outdoor season.
• Placed 20th in the 800 meters at the TCU Invitational with a time of 2:27.39.

• Placed 11th at the WAC Championships in the 800 meters with a season-best clocking of 2:16.54.
• Won the 800 meters at the East Texas Invitational (2:18.83).
• Placed 12th in the 1500m at the TCU Invitational (10:28.60).

• Saw action in five meets on the year.
• Set a season best with a time of 2:12.91 in the 800 meters at the Beach Invitational.
• Posted a time of 2:13.35 in the 800 at UTA's Bobby Lane Invitational.
• Competed in a pair of events at the Texas Relays, the 4x800 relay at the distance medley relay.

• Earned the Staffan Blomstrand memoriam award in 2010 and the Old Boys award in 2006.
• Holds the IFK Lund club record in the 800m for girls 15, 16 and 17 years old in the 800m with time of 2:11.37.
• Broke 28-year-old club record by running a 2.16.69 in the 800m at age 15.
• Finished fifth at Swedish youth national championships and fourth at the Swedish school championships in 2005.
• Part of 4x100m relay team that placed 3rd at the Swedish Youth National Championships.
• In 2008, placed fourth at Swedish Junior national Championships in the 800m.
• Swedish school champion in the 800m and finished third in the 1500m.
• Ran a new personal-record time of 2:11.37 in the 800m in 2009, enough for a fourth place at the Swedish junior national championships.
• Represented Sweden in the Nordic U20 championships, where she placed fifth.
• In 2010, placed third at the Swedish Junior National Championships in the 800m.
