2008 Cross Country: Had top times of 21:46 for four miles (ACU), 23:02 for 5k (Texas Tech) and 26:38 for 6k (NCAA South Central Region in San Antonio)... Placed 50th in LSC meet and 105th at South Central Region.
2008 Track and Field: Limited indoor competition with 2:19.96 in 800 at Norman. Improved outdoors to 2:19.12 for 800 (ACU), 4:57.02 for 1500 (fourth at LSC meet in Abilene) and 13:42.31 in steeple (Baylor). Also fourth in LSC 800 at 2:21.28 to help Wildcats to repeat team title. Had 1500 win at Texas Tech in 5:07.18.
Three-year Class A state qualifier with two 2007 Texas championships. Also competed in Congress Avenue Mile in Austin after senior season. Double winner at state meet as senior with 2:15.79 in 800 and 5:13.92 in 1600. Undefeated in 1600 as senior. Also double winner at regional (2:16.53 and 5:15.98) and district (2:19.91 and 5:34.40) as senior. In 2006 as junior won 800 at regional in 2:23.07 and placed third in 1600 (5:41.78) with runner-up performance in 800 at state in 2:21.42. As soph in 2005 was third in 1600 in Austin in 5:27.70. Her top times include 2:15.79 in 800, 5:11.57 in 1600 and 12:16.70 in 3200. Also has 27.33 in 200, 5-1 in high jump and 16-2.25 in long jump as regional qualifier. Placed 14th in 2007 Congress Avenue Mile in 4:57.38. Three-year starter and all-district in basketball and four-time state qualifier in cross country. State top 10 finishes in cross country as soph and sr. Member of National Honor Society and Who's Who.
Brother Jody was sprinter at Texas Tech. Born 14 June 1989. 2007 graduate of Ropes High School.
