ARLINGTON, Texas -- The UT Arlington Men's and Women's cross country teams visited Amos Elementary School to speak with students and sign autographs.
The AISD students were rewarded for their outstanding efforts in the classroom and were able to also attend the Mavericks' basketball game on Saturday, Jan. 19.
Holton Hemby spoke with nearly 300 students from grades three through six in the school cafeteria where he did a Q&A on being a college student-athlete. Following the Q&A, the cross country team signed autographs and took pictures with the selected Maverick Superstars.
