ARLINGTON, Texas -- UT Arlington coach John Sauerhage has officially announced the men's and women's 2015 cross country schedule. The slate has the Mavericks in action in less than two months.

"We are very excited about the upcoming season," Sauerhage said. "We have a lot of key people returning on both teams and believe that we have put together a schedule that will allow us to compete at our best."

The Mavs will run in four meets this September, all in the Lone Star State. The season kicks off Tuesday, Sept. 1, at the Baylor Twilight Invitational in Waco, Texas. The Mavericks will then compete in Denton at North Texas' Ken Garland Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 12.

UTA will host the annual Gerald Richey High School and University Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 19. The meet will be held at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie and will begin with university races at 8 a.m.

The Mavericks will close out the regular season by running at the Texas A&M Invitational (Saturday, Sept. 26) and the Crimson Classic (Friday, Oct. 16).

The 2015 Sun Belt Conference Championships will be held on Sunday, Nov. 1 at Nash Farms in Atlanta, Ga. The women's team is the returning Sun Belt Conference champions, while the men are coming off a second-place showing at the SBC meet.

Three all-conference performers return on the women's side. Senior Katelyn Hayward was a first-team All-SBC choice after finishing fifth at the league meet. Classmates Gabriela Alfonzo (sixth) and Ashly Wright (eighth) were named to the second team.

For the men, Craig Lautenslager and Eric Ojeda return for their senior seasons after grabbing first-team all-league accolades in 2014. The duo placed third and fourth, respectively at the league meet. Sophomore Michael Guerrero (eighth) was a second-team All-Sun Belt selection.

The NCAA South Central Regional will be held in College Station on Friday, Nov. 13. The men's team took sixth at last year's regional meet, while the women placed 11th at that event.

The NCAA Championships are Saturday, Nov. 21, in Louisville, Ky.
