Chili Pepper Invitational Women's Results Get Acrobat Reader

The UT Arlington Men's and Women's cross country teams both finished in 21st place on Saturday at the Chili Pepper Invitational in Fayeteville, Ark.

Cody Widener led the men's side with a time of 31:46 for 90th place in the 10K. David Rayo came in second for the Mavericks taking 142nd place with a time of 32:32.

Freshman Emil Blomberg crossed the line soon after with a time of 32:49.1 to finish 153rd.

Robert Gribble took 163rd place with a time of 33:02.8, while Caleb Williams finished 167th after running a 33:12.7.

Zach Zura ran a 33:25.8 to take 174th place, and Hance Loyd finished in 178th place after running a 33:36.9.

Senior Jennifer Campos led the women's team with a 6k time of 22:30.4, good for 93rd place. Maria Sandstrom finished in 101st with a time of 22:34.6.

Hannah Nilsson clocked in at 23:11.7 to take 136th place, while Lindsey Putman finished in 163rd place after running a 23:37.7.

Marissa Paz finished in 173rd after running a 23:53, and Sydney Hampton recorded a 25:00.3 to take 223rd place.

The men's and women's teams competed against fields of 32 and 34, respectively, including Texas, Texas Tech, TCU, SMU and Texas A&M Corpus Christi.

The Mavericks next race will be at the Oct. 31st at the Southland Conference Meet in Nacogdoches, Texas. Race time has not yet been decided.
