ARLINGTON, Texas -- UT Arlington Athletics joined its student-athletes at the Welcome Back Luncheon at College Park Center to celebrate the accomplishment of its letterwinners and past success prior to opening the 2016-17 seasons.
"It's always great to welcome back our student-athletes on campus at this annual event and to see the pride they have in receiving the Letter Award," Kris Wood, Assistant AD for Development, said. "Travis Sibley, a recent baseball alumna, talked about the pride he has in UTA, and how thankful he is to know that our administrators, coaches and staff do everything they can to ensure the success of the student-athlete.
"The event captures the pride and tradition that we are building and is one more step toward the greatness we try to achieve every year."
As part of the ceremony, student-athletes that received letters in the 2015-16 seasons received their respective UTA Athletics letterwinner jactet, blanket, or watch.
