Played two seasons at Temple Junior College under head coach Craig McMurtry... batted .310 with six home runs... helped his team to a fifth-place finish in 2010 JUCO World Series, batting .720 with two home runs in the tournament... earned academic All-American honors in 2010, 2011.
High School
A four-year letterwinner at Jack C. Hays High School under head coach Doug Ragsdale... as a senior, earned second-team All-State and first-team All-Conference as a first-baseman... batted .520 with eight home runs, and led his team to a 26-2 record and a district title... also earned two letters in football.

Son of Dell and Shelly Boothe... has four sisters, Tawni, Amber, Sienna, and Ashley... born Sept. 13, 1990... an earth science major at UT Arlington... played for the Austin Gold Sox in the Zarrgosa League.
