Summer 2006: Played for the Mineral Wells Steam of the Texas Collegiate League...hit .214 with nine doubles, seven home runs and 33 RBIs...ranked second in the league in home runs and tied for third in RBIs...made four appearances on the mound...allowed one run on one hit with four strikeouts in 2.2 innings of work.
NCAA Tournament: Started both contests at designated hitter...went 1-for-4 with a double to right-center field in the opener against Texas...collected one hit in the game against North Carolina State.
SLC Tournament: Appeared in all five tournament games, making four starts...went 3-for-17 (.176) with two doubles, four RBIs and two runs scored...collected a pair of hits, including an RBI double in the victory over McNeese State...delivered a big two-run double in the first inning of the championship game over Northwestern State.
2006: .265-4-25...appeared in 47 games on the season with 29 starts...got off to a very slow start over the first couple of months before finishing the season very strong...started the season by going 1-for-32 (.031)...only hit was a two-run triple against Texas A&M...turned his season around in the series against McNeese State...delivered a pinch-hit three-run home run in the series opener. earned the start in the second game and went 5-for-5 with three doubles and four RBIs...tied the school record for hits in a game and doubles in a game...followed that up with a pinch-hit double in the series finale...finished the series by going 7-for-7 with four doubles, seven RBIs and four runs scored...was named Southland Conference Hitter of the Week on April 17 for his efforts...raised his average all the way to .292 with a pair of hits against Baylor on May 2...delivered a home run on back-to-back Sundays in conference play against Southeastern Louisiana and Sam Houston State...collected three hits, including a double and home run, in the series opener against Dallas Baptist.
Summer 2005: Played for the Mineral Wells Steam of the Texas Collegiate League...named to the TCL All-League Team as the designated hitter...hit .305 with 50 hits, 12 home runs and 38 RBIs...ranked second in the league in home runs and was tied for third with 33 walks... delivered a sacrifice fly in the Dr. Pepper Futures Game...selected to the TCL All-Star Game.
Prior to UTA: Came to UTA after playing two seasons at North Central Texas College...hit .310 with nine home runs as a sophomore... collected three hits, including two home runs, and drove in four runs in a victory over Dodge City CC...drove in seven runs on four hits in a doubleheader against Vernon JC...played his prep ball at Arlington High...earned all-district and all-area honors after hitting .340 with seven home runs and 13 stolen bases...named defensive MVP.
