Summer 2009 (USA Baseball National Team)
Became first player in UTA history and second player ever from the Southland Conference to play for the USA Baseball National Team (Collegiate)... batted .350 (21-for-60) with 13 runs, three doubles, three home runs, 13 RBI, eight walks, five hit-by-pitch, three stolen bases, .453 on-base percentage and .550 slugging percentage... finished the summer hitting three home runs in the World Baseball Challenge while leading Team USA to the championship... batted .368 (7-for-19) during World Baseball Challenge... three home runs at the World Baseball Challenge gave him the Home Run Hitting Award (most homers at the tournament)... named to World Baseball Challenge All-Tournament Team (one of four Team USA players to be named)... collected six multi-hit games, including three three-hit performances.
