More than 70 former players took part in baseball's alumni weekend.

2002: .305-4-28?0-0, 2.25 in four appearances on the mound?belted two-run triple in first game of SLC Tournament, giving him five triples on the season, second most on the team?4-for-5 with three runs scored, four RBI, two doubles and a triple in regular season finale vs. UT-San Antonio?7-for-14 in UT-San Antonio series to wrap up regular season?started 46 games in center field, one in right field and two as the designated hitter?He broke an 0-for-12 slump with what turned out to be a game-winning pinch-hit double in the eighth inning of the second game of the SHSU series?went 3-for-5 with a homer and four RBI March 30 at Southeastern Louisiana?he was also 3-for-5 in the Oklahoma game April 2.

Prior To UTA: Junior College standout at Seward County (Kan.) Community College, where he played for current UTA associate head coach Darin Thomas as a freshman?hit .389 with 12 home runs as a sophomore in 2001?earned Jayhawk West All-Conference honors as a sophomore?during summer following freshman season, played for Liberal BeeJays team that was coached by current UTA associate head coach Darin Thomas and went on to win the National Baseball Congress national championship?as a freshman at Seward County, hit .419 and belted eight homers??carried a 3.96 grade point average through his two years at Seward County, and earned the W.A Shuffleburger Award as the top male student-athlete academically, the Wade Johnston Award for Athletic and Academic Achievement on and off the field and was a two year member of the Dean?s List?a five-sport star at Elgin (Okla.)
