Eric Schenck-Joblinske is in his first season as the graduate manager with the UTA baseball program.
Schenck-Joblinske comes to UTA after two seasons playing with Iowa and a pair of seasons at Kirkwood Community College.
During his playing career, Schenck-Joblinske earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2016. As a senior, he started 33 games and played in 50, hitting .227 with 14 RBI and 21 runs. As a junior in 2015, he appeared in 34 games with 11 starts, including 10 in leftfield.
Prior to Iowa, Schenck-Joblinske played the 2013-14 seasons at Kirkwood, where he earned all-region honors. As a freshman, he hit .362 with seven homers, 52 runs scored and 28 RBI. During his sophomore season, he finished with a .309 average with one homer, 27 RBI and 44 runs, stealing 20 bases.
Schenck-Joblinske played high school baseball in Iowa, earning all-state honors. He also played basketball and track and field. His father, David Schenck, played professional baseball in the Chicago White Sox organization.
He is the son of Schenck and Amy Joblinske and has three brothers, Griffin, Cooper and Carson. Amy played volleyball at Upper Iowa College. He completed his degree at Iowa in 2016 in ethics and public policy.
