A four-year letterwinner at Burnet High School under head coach Tim Perkins... as a senior, earned 3A first-team All-State and district MVP honors after batting .428 with three home runs and 42 RBIs... also pitched 72 innings, recording an 8-3 record with a 2.20 ERA and 71 strikeouts... as a junior, earned district MVP after batting .385 with two home runs and 38 RBIs... as a sophomore, earned first-team All-District honors after batting .440 with two home runs and 23 RBIs... academic All-State in 2010-2011.
