Prior to UTA: Came to UTA after spending one season at North Central Texas College...went 7-2 with a 2.70 ERA...struck out 51 and walked 10 in 59.2 innings of work...played his prep ball at Euless Trinity High School...was a two time first team all-district selection...named to the Star Telegram Northeast Area first team as a senior...went 7-4 with 100 strikeouts in senior season...named the co-Pitcher of the Year after going 7-0 as a junior.
