2005: .255-0-15...appeared in 40 games, making 29 starts...saw time behind the plate and as the designated hitter...collected his first collegiate hit in a 2-for-4, two RBI effort against Texas-Pan American on opening late February, collected two hits all three games in a series sweep of UTPA...drove in a pair of runs with a pair of doubles in the middle game...set a career-best with three RBIs in the series finale...also scored two runs in the first and third contests...tied his career-best with three RBIs in a victory over Nicholls State...drew three walks in back-to-back contests against Illinois and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi...had eight multi-hit games on the season. SLC Tournament: Appeared as a pinch-hitter in opener against Lamar.

Summer 2004: Played for the Liberal Bee Jays of the Jayhawk League...hit .309 with a team-best seven home runs and 37 RBIs...also had team-high 14 doubles and a .525 slugging percentage.

Prior to UTA: Comes to UTA after earning honorable mention honors at Midland College...hit .373 with 13 doubles, six home runs and 28 RBIs...was second on the team with a .655 slugging percentage...earned honorable mention honors as a senior at Midland Lee High School...was named the varsity MVP as a sophomore.

Personal: Son of Susan and Bob Stevens...born March 29, 1984...father, Bob, played baseball at Texas...a computer graphics major at UTA.
