NCAA Tournament: Got the start on the mound against North Carolina State...allowed three runs, one earned, on three hits over two innings in a no-decision...walked three and struck out three.

SLC Tournament: Got the start in the first elimination game against regular-season champion McNeese State...allowed one run on eight hits in the complete-game victory...struck out 10 and walked three in the victory...seven of his 10 punchouts came in the final four innings...gave up only run in the eighth inning.

2006: 4-5, 4.80 ERA, six saves...struck out 82 in 75 innings...ranked 43rd nationally in strikeouts per nine innings (9.8)...led the team in saves and strikeouts...used as a starter and closer this season...allowed one run on three hits and struck out seven in four innings to earn the save in the season opener against Louisiana Tech...allowed two runs on two hits in 4.1 innings in his first start of the season against Baylor...allowed one hit in one inning to earn his second save...pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn the victory over Northwestern State in the conference opener...pitched 2.1 innings of one-hit ball for his third save against Louisiana-Monroe...earned his fourth save against Nicholls State...allowed one hit and struck out five in six innings of relief to earn the victory against Texas-San Antonio...struck out nine over 6.2 innings in a start against Southeastern Louisiana just two days after earning a save...pitched the final two innings against Sam Houston State on Saturday before allowing two runs over six innings in a Sunday start...earned the save in the victory over Texas State that clinched a tournament berth...struck out a career-high 11 over 4.2 innings in a no-decision against Dallas Baptist.

Summer 2004: Played for the Weatherford Wranglers of the Texas Collegiate League...went 1-1 with a 4.79 ERA in seven starts...selected to the TCL All-Star Game...was the winning pitcher in the All-Star Game.

Prior to UTA: Came to UTA after earning first team all-America honors at Richland College...went 11-2 with a 3.20 ERA in 101.1 innings in helping the Thunderducks to a 49-16 record and the 2004 NJCAA Division II National Championship ...made 14 starts with two complete games and one shutout... struck out 85 and walked only 32...named to the all-region and all-conference teams...named the MAC Pitcher of the Year... member of the all-academic team in the fall of 2003 at Richland... spent his freshman season at North Central Texas College... member of the Dean's List both semesters...played his prep ball at Robert E. Lee High School...earned first team all-District 12-5A honors after going 6-2 with a 2.83 ERA and 79 strikeouts as a senior.
