SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Jordan Vaughn capped off a strong series for UT Arlington with three hits and three RBI in Sunday afternoon's 10-6 victory over UTSA at Roadrunner Field.

Vaughn went 3 for 4 in the series finale and 7 for 13 over the three games against UTSA. The starting first baseman also racked up five RBI as the Mavericks won two of the three games.

Walker drove in Brent Bollinger to tie the game at 3-3 in the second. The Mavericks jumped back out in front in the third. Preston Beck lined a single up the middle to start the third and eventually scored on Vaughn's hit to center.
UTA added another four runs in the fourth to lead 8-3. Vaughn had a two-run single, and the Mavericks also scored with the bases loaded via a hit batter and walk.
The Mavericks are off until opening a three-game SLC series Friday against Northwestern State at Clay Gould Ballpark.
