Choice Tabbed No. 13 Player on CBB Top 100 List

ARLINGTON, Texas - UT Arlington center fielder Michael Choice was picked the No. 13 player in the country by the College Baseball Blog on their projected Top 100 Players list. The College Baseball Blog is counting down their top 100 players for 2010 with one player each day until they reach the number one player on their list.
So far, Choice is the fourth Southland Conference player named to the list, joining Sam Houston State's Dallas Gallant (No. 52), Lamar's Eric Harrington (No. 57) and UTSA's Ryan Hutson (No. 96).
After helping lead Team USA to the World Baseball Challenge championship last summer, Choice and his UT Arlington teammates are set to begin team practice for the upcoming season on Feb. 1.
Choice, a junior from Arlington, has already been named to a pair of preseason All-American teams, including earning second team Collegiate Baseball Newspaper All-American and third team National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association All-American.
Following a freshman season that saw him collect the team triple crown with a .376 average - UTA freshman record - seven home runs and 51 RBI, Choice posted the fifth best batting average in school history (.413) with a team best 11 home runs and 52 RBI.
Choice was the SLC Freshman of the Year in 2008 and was named to five Freshman All-America teams, and last season was a first team All-SLC performer and named second team American Baseball Coaches Association South Central All-Region.
