Baseball heads to Dallas for DBU Invitational

ARLINGTON, Tex. - UT Arlington returns to action Thursday at 1:30 p.m. when it faces No. 19 Wichita State in the opening game of the Dallas Baptist Invitational at Patriot Field in Dallas.
The Mavericks (2-5) take on their second consecutive ranked opponent after falling 4-3 to No. 2 Oklahoma on Tuesday. The Shockers enter the game with a perfect 7-0 record.
Calan Pritchard makes the start Thursday for the Mavs. Lance Day is scheduled to throw Friday at 6:30 p.m. at DBU. The team has yet to decide on starters for Saturday's 1:30 p.m. game against New Orleans or Sunday's 1 p.m. home contest against the Shockers.
UTA coach Darin Thomas is 9-19 all-time against ranked opponents, having most recently beaten a ranked foe last year when the Mavs topped No. 22 Southeastern Louisiana.
