The UT Arlington baseball team will host a Miracle League Day prior to its game against UTSA on April 6. The festivities will get underway at 4 p.m. at Clay Gould Ballpark with food, games and entertainment and conclude with a parade and speeches from Arlington Mayor Robert Cluck, Executive Director for the President of the Texas Rangers Baseball Club Jim Sundberg and Carl Cravens, Interim Chairman-Miracle Fields of DFW.

The event coincides with the opening of the Miracle League baseball season. All games are played at the Texas Rangers Miracle League Field located at 1901 W. Randol Mill Rd. (Randol Mill Park) in Arlington. The custom-designed, synthetic turf field is the first of its kind in the Arlington/Fort Worth area. For more information on how you can volunteer or donate to the Miracle League, please go the Miracle Fields of DFW official website at www.mldfw.org.

"We are thrilled to give these kids an opportunity to come out to the ballpark and have fun interacting with our student-athletes," said head coach Jeff Curtis. "These kids have been through a lot and they deserve the chance to participate in the activities that we take for granted everyday."

The kids will have the opportunity to interact with the student-athletes at UT Arlington while participating in hitting throwing and defensive activities. The team's will be announced as they parade along the warning track behind home plate, which will be followed by speeches and ceremonial first pitches.
