ARLINGTON, Texas - - Wednesday's game between the UT Arlington baseball team and Texas Wesleyan was called off in the third inning because of lightning and the threat of heavy rain.
A makeup date for the contest between the two Tarrant County teams has not been announced.
UTA, which was trailing 4-0 in the third inning of the contest, will return to action Friday, Saturday and Sunday for a three-game series against Northwestern State. First pitch in Game 1 of the Southland Conference series is set for 6:30 p.m.
The Mavericks return home Tuesday, April 29 for a 6:30 p.m. game against Baylor.
