ARLINGTON, Texas - UT Arlington baseball teammates Preston Beck and Lance Day were named to the ABCA All-South Central Region Teams. Peck, as a member of the first team, is eligible for the ABCA All-America Team, which will be selected this week at the College World Series.

Beck was recently drafted by the Texas Rangers in the fifth round of the MLB First-Year Player Draft. The Dallas native and graduate of Bishop Lynch High School led the Southland Conference as a junior in home runs with 14 and with 71 RBI, setting a new UTA record in the process.

Beck hit .335 and had a league-leading .602 slugging percentage. His 21 career home runs in three years are tied for seventh on UTA's all-time list, while his 150 career RBI ranks fourth. Beck has signed with the Rangers.

Day led the SLC in wins as a senior, sporting a 12-4 record. The win total was tied for the most in a single season in school history. He posted a 3.18 ERA in 121.2 innings. Day leaves UTA with 16 career victories.
