ARLINGTON, Texas - Adam Moore led the UT Arlington baseball team to the 2006 NCAA Regional Tournament in his only season with the Mavericks and now he is back in Arlington hoping to make his Major League debut tonight with the Seattle Mariners after getting called up to the big leagues earlier today.

Moore, a sixth-round draft pick (171st overall pick) of the Mariners in 2006, becomes the eighth Mavericks to wear a Major League uniform this season and the ninth all-time Maverick to make it to the show.

Moore received the good news this morning and immediately flew from Sacramento to Arlington, where the Mariners are taking on Texas in a doubleheader at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, which will complete a three-game series.

He finished his Triple-A season with Tacoma yesterday as the Rainers were eliminated from the Pacific Coast League playoffs. Moore batted .287 with 24 doubles, 12 home runs and 56 RBI during the 2009 season with 91 games at the Triple-A level and 27 games to start the season in Double-A.

Moore had a memorable season with the Mavericks in 2006, leading the team with a .350 batting average, 22 doubles, 10 home runs and 50 RBI while playing in all 56 games and being named the Southland Conference Newcomer of the Year and first team All-SLC.

Moore led the SLC in doubles, tied for the league-lead in hits (89) and was second in the conference with 54 runs scored.
