ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington baseball and coach Darin Thomas are holding Scout Day on Oct. 15 at 3 p.m. at Clay Gould Ballpark.
Scout Day is an invitation for professional scouts to evaluate current UT Arlington players in a controlled setting. Players will undergo a number of baseball and physical drills during the session.
UT Arlington had two players enter MLB baseball organizations after the 2012 season: pitcher John Beck (Colorado) and infielder Ryan Walker (Minnesota). UT Arlington has had 48 players drafted all-time with the selections, 11 coming since Darin Thomas took over as head coach in 2008.
The Mavericks' 56-game schedule begins Feb. 14, 2014 at Clay Gould Ballpark with the UTA Invitational.
