ARLINGTON, Texas -- UT Arlington baseball and coach Darin Thomas are holding Scout Day on Oct. 22 at 2:30 p.m. at Clay Gould Ballpark.
Scout Day is an invitation for professional scouts to evaluate current UTA players in a controlled setting. Players will undergo a number of baseball and physical drills during the session.
UTA had four players enter MLB baseball organizations after the 2012 season: outfielder Preston Beck (Texas Rangers), pitcher Lance Day (Houston Astros), pitcher Adam Boydston (Chicago White Sox) and pitcher Collin Reynolds (San Diego Padres). Six former UTA players are currently in the Major Leagues.
UTA opens its 2013 season Feb. 15 with a three-game series against Louisiana Tech at Clay Gould Ballpark.
