ARLINGTON, Texas - Each week, the UTA Athletic Department spotlights a Texas Trust Scholar-Athlete of the Week to showcase the excellence in academic achievement of its student-athletes. Today, learn all about UTA redshirt freshman outfielder Phillip Childs!
Childs, a native of Euless and a product of Trinity High School, redshirted the 2017 season. Childs is a broadcast communication major with a 3.83 cumulative GPA. He starred at Trinity High School as a prep athlete, where he nine homers over his last two seasons.
