ARLINGTON, Texas - UT Arlington will hold its annual First Pitch Banquet on Jan. 26 at the Diamond Club at The Ballpark in Arlington.
World Series champion and former UT Arlington standout Hunter Pence is the featured speaker for the fundraising event set for 7 p.m.
The evening will also include the presentation of the 2012 Southland Conference championship rings. The Mavericks claimed the SLC title and a spot in the NCAA Regionals.
"I'm looking forward to a great night for the UTA baseball program," UT Arlington coach Darin Thomas said. "I can't wait to honor both our past and present players."
RSVP and price package information will be available soon. The 2013 season opens Feb. 15 with a three-game home series against Louisiana Tech at Clay Gould Ballpark.
