Struggled early in season after missing the first two games following preseason injury... shot 50 pecent or better in just one game during season - a 26-point performance in the Mavs' 110-103 win at Texas State Feb. 3... was second on squad with 47 3-pointers... needs 13 3-pointers to move in career top 10... third on team with 22 steals last season... ranked sixth on squad with 8.3 points per game... member of SLC Men's Basketball All-Academic Honorable Mention Team.

Appeared in all 30 games as a freshman...averaged 6.3 points a contest and was third on the team with 43 three-point field goals made...also finished second on the team in free-throw shooting, making 86.8 percent...hot an amazing 91.3 percent from the charity stripe in conference play...scored a season-high 15 points, nailing four treys...went 3-of-4 from behind the arc on his way to 12 points in a 94-91 overtime victory at San Diego...grabbed a season-high six rebounds in a victory over Texas-Tyler.

Long earned all-conference in the SICA East and all-area after averaging 15.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game for Thornton High School as a senior...he led the team with 50 three-pointers and was named to the all-tournament at the Big Dipper XXXII Holiday Tournament after leading the Wildcats with 25 points, including six three-point field goals, in the championship game...as a junior, he averaged 18.1 points, 4.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game for Rich Central High School in Olympia Fields...he led the team with 70 three-pointers and helped RCHS to the SICA South Conference Championship...he averaged 15.0 points, 4.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds for RCHS as a sophomore in 2003 to earn all-conference honors...he averaged 22.0 points per game at the 17-and-under Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Nationals in 2004...academically, Long has maintained a 4.0 grade-point-average as a senior and was a member of the Honor Roll for three consecutive seasons...Long is the first non-Texas signee in four years and the first Chicagoland signee since Shawn Talley and Willie Wright in 1992-93.
